Welcome to the NEW Pappoutsakis.org where we invite you to join us in celebrating the legacy of BSO flutist and master teacher James Pappoutsakis.  Established in his honor 30 years ago, the James Pappoutsakis Memorial Fund (JPMF) is thrilled to share the history and activities of the annual Pappoutsakis Flute Competition via our new online home. Our 30th Annual winner, Caitlyn Perry, will present her Winner's recital will be held in September, 2010.  The program will include the Sonatina for Flute, Piccolo and Piano by renowned composer and Boston icon, Gunther Schuller, made possible through a generous grant from the Brannen-Cooper Fund.  Further details will be announced on this site as the date approaches.
